Knitted Teddy Bear

Ed eccomi, come molte molte altre volte...... Ho visto qualcosa di fantastico sul suo sito (naturalmente lei non ha bisogno del mio link, perchè sicuramente la conoscete già! Ma non posso tacere le mie ispirazioni, il merito va tributato!)
Ho comprato lo stesso libro e ...... ho iniziato a pregustare ......
As many many other time ....... I saw something in a wonderful site (of course se doesn't even need my link, because you already know her, for sure!! but I can't hide my inspiration).
I bought the same book and .... I started to foretaste .....

E così alla fine ho tentato. 

Questa è la mia versione, con inserti in stoffa Tilda e un cuoricino che pulsa in seta rossa. E' talmente tenero!!!

Finally in the last days I tried . 

And this is mine: I used Tilda fabric fow paws, ears and belly and red silk for the little heart. It is sooooooooo cute!!!

Coniglio Sofia

Parecchi mesi fa ho cenato con mia cugina. Era incinta all'epoca (dico all'epoca perchè ormai la bimba ... non solo è nata ma ha circa 10 mesi!!!). Comunque avevo pensato di farle un qualche cosa a titolo di "porta fortuna" così ho pensato a questo dolcissimo coniglietto.
Allot of months ago I met my cousin. She was pregnant (nowadays the baby girl is almost 10 months old!!!!!) and I made her a little good luck bunny!

E' un modello Tilda e l'ho fatto con spugna e stoffina a quadretti. Ci messo un sacco di amore ... tutto per la mia cuginetta di secondo grado!!
This is a Tilda pattern made with towl and fabric. I made it with a lot of love for my beloved newly born second cousin!

Torta ballerina

Eccoci qui.
Stavolta mi è stata chiesta una torta a tema ballerine .... Ho cercato, girato, navigato, studiato, pensato .... e alla fine, sulla base delle mie capacità, ho pensato di risolvere così il tema.
Here we are. This time a friend of mine asked me a cake for her daughter 5th birthday, who loves classical ballet! I looked, surfed the Intenet, think about, watched .... and according to my skills .... this is what I made.
Devo confessare che ne sono molto orgogliosa. E' stata difficile, la pdz fatta da me stavolta ha dato un sacco di problemi, a differenza di quella acquistata per fare la ballerina e i fiorellini, che essendo industriale è sempre perfetta, con l'unico "difetto" di essere industriale! :-D
I'm very proud of this last cake. It's been very very difficult, because I made sugar paste by myself and it came out so different from the industrial one that I used to make the ballerina and the flowers .......

Ad ogni modo, dopo mille problemi ed elaborazioni per risolverli ... questo è quello che sono riuscita a fare.
By the way, after many problems ......... this is what I succeded doing. 

Devo dire che amo ogni torta come una specie di amica ... credo dipenda dal tantissimo tempo che passo con loro!!! :-D La ballerina ormai è mia amica!!
I can tell you that I love every cake like a kind of friend, because of the time I spend with each one of them!!! ... and ballerina has became a friend of mine!! :-D

Dentro sempre la torta al cioccolato farcita con marmellata di albicocche e ricoperta di crema di burro.
The cake is the one I always bake: kind of sacher torte with apricot marmelade and simple butter frosting.

Una delle mie migliori amiche, nonchè una delle mie testimoni, ha partorito proprio qualche giorno prima del matrimonio.
One of my best friend, one of my bridesmaid gave birth to Giovanni, a few days before my wedding. 

In quei giorni ero molto impegnata ..... ma il loro regalo era pronto già da tempo.
I was very busy but my present for them was already ready.

Avevo comprato un kit bellissimo alla sessione di marzo di Abilmente 2012, e lo adoro:

Ho fatto parecchia pratica nella quiltatura a macchina e a macchina ma a mano libera, mi sono spinta a ricamare "Giovanni"

I practiced in machine quilting and free hand machine quilting ....even tried to machine quilt "Giovanni"

Spero sia stato gradito (io dal canto mio confesso di aver provato un gran piacere quando incontrandoli un giorno per strada, ho scorto la copertina nel passeggino!!!)
Hope she like it! (I have been very very happy seeing the quilt in Giovanni's pram!)

L'anno scorso ho frequentato diversi corsi con la nostra adorata Roberta Sperandio, presso l'Arte di Fare.

Last year I attended several patchwork class with the great Roberta Sperandio at L'Arte di Fare.

Uno dei corsi era questo: La strada dei colori.

Io ho fatto questo con dei fat quarters di Amy Butler ... e l'ho usato come piccola tovaglia sotto le ns bomboniere (vedi l'ultima foto)

I made this (Amy Butler fabrics) ... and I used it as a little tablecloth on the piano where we put our wedding favor (see the last picture)!

Eccomi! Non potevo più rimandare oltre questo post, mi ci è voluto un sacco di tempo per prepararlo ma alla fine ci sono!!

Here we are! It's time to post, no more delay!

This is going to be a quite long post, maybe a 2 parts post ...

Vi voglio mostrare tutto quello che ho preparato per il matrimonio. Vi assicurato che ho lavorato proprio parecchio, non solo per cucire/pitturare/tagliare, ma anche per trovare tutti i materiali online ... a volte l'Italia può essere così provinciale!! Non mi fraintendete, adoro il mio paese, ma mi sono così tanto abituata a sognare online ... tutto intorno al mondo!!!!

What I'm going to show you is aaaaaallllll I made for my wedding. I assure I worked a lot, not only to sew/paint/cut, but also to find materials online .... sometimes Italy can be so .... "hick". Don't misunderstand me ... I love my beautiful country , but I'm used to dream on the Internet all around the world!!!

Ok! Cominciamo!

So let's start! 

La prima cosa che ho scelto ovviamente è stato l'abito da sposa, che non mi sarei mai sognata di fare da sola. Ho amato subito Anna Spose e soprattutto Michela che ha disegnato il mio abito. Inizialmente era tutto bianco ma io mi ero innamorata da subito di una stola di seta verde salvia molto chiaro ... e così abbiamo deciso di fare dello stesso colore anche la gonna.

Adoro il risultato, un po' vintage, ma moderno e adattissimo alla mia personalità!

What I found first has been my bridal gown. I love Anna Spose and most of all Michela who designed my own gown. At first it was all white but I utterly fell in love with the sage silk stole ..... and we decided to make in sage the skirt as well ...

I love the result ... vintage style, but quite modern and .... totally cut out for me and my personality!

L'ho talmente amato che gli ho regalato anche un appendiabiti!!! - comprato qui -

I loved it so much that I ordered one hanger for it!!! :-D - I bought it here - 

Comunque ..... questo è l'abito!!

Anyway, this is the gown!

... quasi dimenticavo ...... i fantastici sandali in seta, sotto ai quali ho applicato il ns logo:
... almost forgotten ............ these are the wonderful sandals .... with our logo at the bottom:

QUINDI ... IL TEMA DEL MATRIMONIO SAREBBE STATO BIANCO E SALVIA (e colori pastello pure)

SO ........ THE COLOR IS WHITE AND SAGE (and soft colors as well)!!!

Ho chiesto a mia mamma di farmi questo splendido cuscinetto per le fedi, è un modello scaricabile online gratuitamente sul sito di Martha Stewart ... e adoro pure lui!!!! :-D 

I asked my mom to sew this wonderful pillow for the ring, it's a Martha Stewart free pattern and I love it!!

Su internet ho trovato un sacco di tutorial per fare fiori di carta, così li ho usati per la macchina (che è del marito di una delle mie testimoni) e anche per tavoli e sala ....

On the Internet I found many tutorials to make paper flowers, and so I used them to decorate the car and the tables ....

Un grazie speciale all'"autista", che ha applicato il banner "just married" durante la cerimonia!

 A special thank you to the "chauffeur", who as tied the "just married" streamer during the ceremony!

In Chiesa ho messo un vasetto ad ogni banco. Ho comprato dei vasetti di latta da Ikea e li ho pitturati con stencil e inchiostro e ci ho fatto mettere dal fiorista dei fiori di ortensia. Avrei voluto piccole piantine ma poi c'è stato un intoppo e abbiamo ripiegato sul fiore singolo (ortensie che adoro e ho usato anche per il bouquet e per i fiori sulle giacche degli uomini).
In the Church I placed a pot in every bench. I bought the pots at Ikea and painted them with ink and stencil and put inside one hydrangea (that I love and used also for the bouquet in white and green).

Per l'uscita dalla Chiesa ho tagliato tanti cuoricini e orsetti dalla carta velina verde per mescolarli con il riso.
For our exit from the Church I cut several hearts and teddy bears from light green tissue paper to mix them with the rice.

Dopo mesi consumati di ricerca, per comprare timbri, inchiostri, tessuti, veline, idee...

After months spent in research to buy stamps, inks, fabrics, tissue paper, ideas ... 

Per le foto ricordo (purtroppo non c'è stato modo di allestire un angolo apposito):

For the picture (no way to set up a photo booth unfortunately!):

- cornici fai-da-te (ci ha pensato mio marito e io li ho rivestiti!)
- the frames for the pictures (made in wood by my husband and me)

- lavagne e gessetti per lasciare il messaggio alla foto
- the blackboards

- accessori vari (ho comprato la stampa su Etsy e mio marito ha pensato al taglio!)
- the accessories (I bought the silouette on Etsy and my husband cut them out)

Così siamo arrivati al party: questa è una foto del nostro arrivo ... se vi ricordate che la Vespa è il mio regalo di fidanzamento per mio marito ...
And so we arrive at the party: this is our arrival .... if you remember the Vespa is my present for my husband ....

Abbiamo chiesto a tutti gli invitati di lasciare la loro firma sul nostro libro firme .... Avevo trovato diverse idee simili su Etsy e comunque online e ho provato a farlo da sola con un programma simile e Photoshop (Ora fa bella mostra di sè nel ns salotto con una splendida cornice)
Our family and friends were asked to sign our "guest book" ... I found something similar on Etsy but I tried to do it by myself with photoshop (similar! :-D) (Now it has its frame and is hanged in our sitting room)

Questa è la stanza, dove ho voluto appendere i miei adorati bunting, ne ho cuciti circa 80 (purtroppo solo 40 sono tornati a casa dopo il party!! :-D)
This is the room, were i hanged my loved bunting, almost 80 (40 more or less missing after the party :-D)!!

E queste poi sono le tavole (avevamo messo da parte circa 60 bottigliette tra gingerini, succhi, marmellate, pomodoro .... e mio marito le ha verniciate nei colori prescelti, tenui - io poi ho cucito degli uccellini Tilda e insieme abbiamo fatto i fiori di carta di cui parlavo sopra e naturalmente mi sono occupata delle tovagliette patchwork, che i miei amici hanno apprezzato tanto che non sono riuscita nemmeno a fotografarle :-D Mi fa davvero piacere che siano piaciute!! Ovviamente li ho incoraggiati io a portarsi a casa un ricordo della giornata!)
And these of course are the tables: we put aside almost 60 little bottles and jam jars and tins and my husband colored them with soft colors; I sew some Tilda birds and made the tissue paper flowers I talk about and of course I sew all the patchwork placemats. My friends loved so much the placemats that no one is left!! I'm really happy about that! (I gave a boost to them about taking a souvenir of the day)

Ho cucito due uccellini anche per la torta!
For the wedding cake I sew 2 more birds, to put on the top!!

E per i balli .... infradito per tutti ... Le abbiamo stampate (mio marito se n'è occupato) con un timbretto personalizzato e acquistato sul sito di Cupcake Tree su Etsy).
And for the dance moment ... flip-flops for everybody ... We used our wedding stamp (I ordered it customized from Etsy Cupcake Tree). 

E' stato un successo!

It's been a success!

Abbiamo usato gli stessi e altri timbri anche per i sacchettini per i confetti (ognuno li ha poi riempiti con i confetti che erano disposti sul tavolo della confettata)!

We used Cupcake tree stamps for the treats as well!

Per le bomboniere mi è piaciuta molto un'idea che ho trovato nel libro che già mi ho fatto conoscere e ho personalizzato l'idea: ho usato uno stencil sui vasetti - anch'essi Ikea -, aggiunto uno stampino da biscotti e incollato sulla targhetta una ricetta - tre ricette tra tutte le bomboniere - e naturalmente ho pesato e versato tutti gli ingredienti secchi.

Non so se è piaciuto a tutto ma ho avuto notizia di diversi amici che si sono divertiti a preparare i biscotti e cucinarli! Questo è stato sufficiente a farmi contenta!
For the gift for the guests I liked so much something I saw in this book and I personalized it: I stanciled every jar and added one cookie cutter and three different recipe (sticked on the back of the tag, one repice at a time) and of course weighed all the dry ingredients. 

I don't know if everybody liked it but I know many guests has baked the cookies and had fun doing it! That's enough to make us happy!

Questo finalmente è tutto!! Scusate per la lunghezza infinita del post ... tutte queste foto ....... ma faccio fatica a nascondere quanto siamo stati contenti di tutto!!
